Dale came to Long Green Baptist as Lead Pastor on May 1, 2009. Though highly unusual, Dale is serving as Pastor of Long Green Baptist for the second time. He was Pastor from 1984-1993 before he and his wife Celia and their children, Sarah and Joseph, went to Paraguay as missionaries. It says something about how positive the first nine years were that both the church and Dale would want to reconnect in ministry together sixteen years after the first stint. Dale is passionate about gospel-centered living and mission that are centered in the local congregation. He has a vision to see Long Green Baptist faithfully represent Jesus Christ in the world to the end that people from all nations will follow and worship Jesus as King. That vision begins with the local church as a community on mission ... a community that puts the Kingdom of God on display in the world at large as well as in scheduled church activities. The hope is that Long Green Baptist will become a platform for mission and church planting in the Baltimore area and around the world.
