Elements of Paul's Message to Pagans
  • There is a living God who created the world and everything in it.
  • This God generously sustains creation.
  • This living God is knowable and gives witness about himself through nature.
  • The living God is sovereign over all nations.
  • In their failure to recognize and know the living God, humans have chosen to worship created things rather than the Creator.
  • All human beings have a common ancestor and all share a similar nature.
  • In the past, God has shown mercy for people's ignorance of him, but that time has ended.
  • God calls all people everywhere to turn away from idols in order to turn to him in faith.
  • A day is coming when God will judge all who do not turn to him in repentance.
